For all that I work in a hospital, we have a lot of chocolate and candy hanging around for Easter.
That said, someone pilfered all my chocolate out of my office.

It's hardest to lose a patient. It doesn't matter how old they are, if they're young and haven't had a chance to live, if they're older and have lived their life, if they're middle aged with three young kids. You become a surgeon to fix people, realizing that they're usually broken by the time they get to you.
For every one that you lose though, there are five more that live because of what you do. Live longer, fuller lives, get a few more years so they can see their great grandkids, get a lifetime so they can have their own children.
Yeah. Deep.
